Welcome to the Watuppa Rowing Center

Who are we?

Watuppa Rowing Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, provides opportunities for high school students in the Greater Fall River area to learn to row, race competitively, and improve post-secondary prospects for students. South Watuppa Pond is one of the few rowing sites in the United States approved for Olympic trials. We want to partner and share our water with all rowers, clubs, and schools in the area.

Students learn to row at United We Row Camp in 2019.

We began our life as the Bay Coast Rowing Center in 2018 but have re-branded as the Watuppa Rowing Center to highlight our unique location. Watuppa Rowing Center is conveniently located on the South Watuppa Pond in Fall River, Massachusetts.  To our west is Providence, Rhode Island, to our north is Boston Massachusetts, and to our south is Newport, Rhode Island—all 55 miles or less away.  The pond consists of 1,550 acres of non-tidal water.

From teens to masters, military vets to para athletes, to those training for the highest level of competition, we are building an inclusive and exciting rowing center. We’re new…come grow with us!

Support Watuppa Rowing Center

Your tax-deductible donation to WRC will support programming for at-risk youth in Greater Fall River. Together, we will provide scholarships for students to participate in programming at low- to no-cost, an opportunity that will open doors at numerous collegiate rowing programs.
